You cannot be serious to be healthy if you go to the grocery and buy all the junk food and sweets that you like for stocking in your cabinet, ready whenever you like to eat them. Having this kind of food lying around whenever you want them and binge on them is a bad idea and thus you have to control yourself.

Another tip is that you start choosing food that are healthy in general. You might not identify some food as junk because you want them but in reality you know it is bad for you. Generally, many ready meals are not healthy for you, and so it is advisable that you prepare your food yourself. It is good to know what you are putting into your body and you can start by learning to read nutritional labels like the content of sodium and sugar. Make sure you eat lots and lots of vegetables like broccoli, kale and spinach, while at the same time being watchful for more starchy vegetables. We are not saying to live on vegetables and salads alone, but instead go on getting plenty of portions of this food to fill up your day as much as possible.

Humans are built to be moving around and not sit the whole day, so it is advisable to choose an exercise that you like and get on with it. This does not mean punishing yourself on the treadmill for several hours but rather do some body activity that you like and stick to it. Perhaps you may want to visit a dance studio to try dancing, or play a sport you can tackle, or do meditation, and other different kinds of exercise that you like best and find enjoyable enough to stick to it.

You have to find ways to incorporate in your everyday life what is fitness for your body. You can start by simple steps like going for a short walk, taking stairs than the elevator, parking a little further from your destination to make that walk, and other activities that make a difference to your lifestyle.
